My family and I are in the process of relocating to North Carolina perferably around Lake Norman area, but not on the lake. Currently we pay $6200.00 a year in taxes and you can imagine our monthly payment. We want to live and not for a mortgage or taxes. I work in the technology field and was wondering how the job market is in that field. My husband is in construction (finishing or drywall). If anyone can give me any insight about the area, that would be great. My son will be starting High School when we plan to relocate June/July 2009.
