One if the nice things about living around a lake is seeing rare (to this area anyway) birds and waterfowl. This past week I have seen 2 Cattle Egrets several times feeding in an open field in Mooresville. The Cattle Egret is not a rare sight along the southern US coast but very rare this far inland.
